Trivia Hut is meant to run off of the users, it’ll only be as good as the user wants it to be. The way in which it depends on the users is simple, the user’s generate the content. User’s create quizzes, take the quizzes and rate the quizzes. Logging in to the application will allow us to use your ratings and be able to differentiate the bad quizzes from the good ones. If you take a quiz and learn something you didn’t know before then write a quiz about something you do know, share the knowledge.
If you do not see your Trivia after one day, make sure it’s visible. Edit the quiz and check it’s visibility toggle.
In order to join in on the fun you need to get Trivia Hut application today, or you can get our Trivia Hut Pro which is the same but without Ads.
Note: An update is slated, the website is having issues and will be rewritten and updated as soon as possible.
Quick links:
- A Timed mode, default quiz taking mode. You have 25 seconds to answer each question, there will be a results page at the end of the quiz that will notify you of your score, show you what you missed and allow you to rate the quiz you took, please register before taking quizzes to make sure your opinion counts.
- To aid in organization, quizzes are separated into categories, 10 in all. If you don’t really dig any particular category feel free to go to user settings and hide it.
- Multiple methods of finding the trivia you were looking for, top rated, latest, search by category, or custom search. Custom is a search by quiz creator name, quiz name, and/or quiz rating.
- Last but not least, for the indecisive feller in the group, there is a random quiz mode, which will take you to the quiz information page of any quiz you might not have taken. Note: To take a truly random quiz just shake your iPhone when you’re on the main menu.
On the horizon for Trivia Hut:
Note: Just because it’s listed here doesn’t mean it’s going to happen. It does say “On the Horizon”, and not “Coming Soon”. Something here might be beyond the horizon.
- Ability to make private quizzes that can be about anything with any content, easily shareable to friends, but not viewable by general public.
- Notifications of quiz updates. Would allow the ability to have a trivia series.
- Ability to go back and forth on the quiz search screen.
- Improved graphics for quiz taking screen.
- If you like any particular item more than the others or can think of something that’s not mentioned that would be either useful, fun, sexy(one can dream), or interesting then please use the Contact Us form and tell us about it.
Guidelines to making good trivia:
- Take your time! There’s a visible toggle for a reason. You can easily submit a quiz, add questions and at your leisure come back and make some changes. It will not be downloadable if it’s hidden. NOTE: Completed quizzes are visible by default, so remember to hide it until you think it’s ready for action.
- I know you all love 1337 speak but this is about what you know, not what you don’t know so show us you know how to use English. While we will not delete your quiz if it has some misspellings it is in your best interest to double check what you write. The quizzes are meant to test a user’s knowledge on the trivia, not understanding a misspelled and ambiguous question. (FYI: If there are some errors on this page, all I can say is, I tried and I did decently, so bleh.)
- Perhaps it’s obvious but, if you write a quiz, make sure the answers are correct and are answerable. If you find one of your quizzes has a mistake, please take the time and edit it to make sure people get the most out of your quiz. Questions like: “What am I wearing right now?” might have an answer, but it’s not too fair a question. (For those of you wondering, it’s nothing, /wink).
- Register and Add a new quiz: Click on the register link above to register. Once you’re registered you can log in and make a new quiz. If you are having any site trouble use the latest version of Firefox
- Edit a quiz: Assuming you’re logged in. Click on “Your Quizzes”, choose Submitted Quizzes and click on the pencil, or click on the quiz you need to edit and click on the edit link.
- Report an error in a quiz: You can do so in the application itself by doing: Main Menu -> Quiz Services (log in if you haven’t already) -> Report Quiz. Note: You can only report a quiz that the application knows you have taken. If you want to do it on the website just user the “Contact Us” link, click on the Trivia Hut dropdown choice as subject and be as informative as possible.
- Just take a quiz as fast as possible: Click on Random Quiz, scroll down and take it, or shake the application on the main menu. Both of these methods choose any quiz you haven’t taken and suggest you do so.
- Request an item to be on this guide: Use the Contact Us form and we’ll take a look at it.
Note: All names, characters, trademarks, that are mentioned on the quizzes are the sole property of their respective owners. If you own the rights to anything mentioned in any of our quizzes and would like for it to be taken down then please contact us. They are used and/or referred to at this website and in our application for the sole purpose of sharing of our knowledge of the things we like best.
